What are the ethical issues regarding education?

Ethical issues related to education are as follows:

1.Right to Education:

Because of the importance of education in Islam, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that acquiring knowledge is the duty of every Muslim man and woman. It is the duty of government and relevant departments to provide equal rights of getting education to students.

2. Should Teacher Student be Friends?

School is a process of bringing people together to achieve mutual goals. The concerned persons here are students and teachers. The popular view of student-teacher friendships today also fosters these relationships. But the question is that in this friendship, the teacher should not exceed his limits and should take such measures to maintain positive relations.

3. To what Extent Help is Required?

This problem is very important to consider that the relationship between the principal, teachers and students should be of some value. What should be their limits?

4. Communication:

The communication is the heart of every educational process t, whether it is inside the classroom or outside, the ethical atmosphere can be improved by gentle behaviour.

5. Conflict Management:

Many contradictions and conflicts arise during teaching in school. It is important to eliminate these contradictions for a calm and stable environment in the institution. Adopting an ethical strategy can eliminate such contradictions.

6. Language of Learning:

Hesta in (2006) has presented the concept of the language of learning. In this context, he has identified four trends that influence the ethical aspect of the educational system.

(i) In the new theories of education, the attention of experts has been diverted from teachers and teaching to students and their activities, and it has become a facilitator in teaching.

(ii) In postmodernism, skepticism has found an opportunity to intrude into education as well, hence the need to ask questions in modern educational projects.

(iii) Non-formal education for adults, which is an individual educational activity, has a growing market nowadays, has increased the scope of the word learning.

(iv) As a result of the destruction of the welfare state, the relationship between the government and the citizen has become commercial in nature. These relationships are from the provider and public service. All these trends play an important role to promote learning language. All the above mentioned trends in education also affect the educational system of teachers and professional prospects.

7. Teacher Autonomy:

According to this concept, the professional freedom of teachers in school is mainly the autonomy based on the decisions they make about what to teach students and how they will teach it.
